Kim Schoenberger - ALaW 2010 First alphabet

I thought I'd share a couple of pictures to show you how my first alphabet has come up now I have finished it...
I've split the alphabet into two, placing 13 squares onto each post. The posts are from an old weathered pallet I scored from one of my local tip hunts while looking for rusty bits for my letters. Thinking it had character, and knowing only too well it would come into good use down the track, I convinced Glen it was a worthy find and to bring it home with us, thankfully he agreed.

Here's a detail of the image (below), you can see the nails at each side, random and distorted which were left behind from the other planks levered off. They gave such a groovy look to the posts I just had to leave them there!

...most definitely a Rosalie Gascoigne influence going on here.

This is just delightful!! The presentation just so fits the letters and it makes up an organic whole!!! Of course you had to leave the nails in!! Great!!!
